The markets continued their northward journey, as buying activity further intensified across sectors. Banking, realty, energy and power sector stocks are leading the pack of gainers, while select stock from the pharma and auto space are trading weak. The advance to decline ratio is poised at 2:1 on the BSE.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty are trading high currently, up by almost 560 points and 165 points respectively. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices are also trading higher by 1.5% and 1.2% respectively. The rupee is trading at 44.38 to the dollar.
