Markets at day's low; Nifty below 4200

Equities continued to be under pressure due lack of buying interest. Weak European markets subdued sentiments further.

At 2:15 pm, Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex was at 13,716.04, down 278.92 points or 1.99 per cent. The benchmark touched new intra-day low of 13,707 and an intra-day high of 13,978.26.

National Stock Exchange’s Nifty was at 4155.20, down 1.61 per cent or 67.85 points. The 50-share index touched a high of 4224.70 and low of 4142 in trade so far.
