Closing FM cheers the market

Bulls were back in action on Monday buying into major blue chip companies available at attractive valuations. Banks, capital goods and IT sectors were amongst the most sought after.

Market ended with huge gains on Monday led by surge in frontline stocks. Banks, capital goods and power stocks were the top performing se
ctors.

Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex closed at 11,336.66, up 7.68 per cent or 808.81 points. The index touched an intra-day high of 11,361.32 and low of 10,817.68.
