POLL - Inflation seen at 6.09 pct on Dec. 27

India's annual inflation rate is seen falling to a 10-month low in the last week of 2008 after food supplies improved and steep duty and fuel price cuts worked through into the broader economy, a Reuters poll showed.

The median forecast of 10 economists was for a 6.09 percent rise in the wholesale price index in the 12 months to Dec. 27, compared with 6.38 percent in the previous week.
