Market Outlook: Indian market may have flat to negative opening today on account of weak global cues. Nifty has supports at 5000-5050 and resistances are at 5150-5180. The dips should be used as buying opportunity. Markets are likely to consolidate at current levels before moving higher whilwe buying support is likely to limit the downside.

On the global counter: Wall Street ends lower; oil records new 2009 high & Asia trading lower; Hang Seng, Nikkei down. In the US markets, stocks finished lower after banking counters were downgraded rating on Wells Fargo to sell from hold, saying there was serious erosion in the bank's loan quality in the third quarter. In earnings from the US, Morgan Stanley reported better-than expected quarterly profit on strong fixed income sales and trading revenue. Consolidated net revenue in the quarter was 8.7 billion dollars. The stock was up 5% in trade.
